Queensboro FC, in cooperation with Queens Development Group (a joint venture between Sterling Equities and The Related Companies), plans to construct a state-of-the-art, 15,000-seat USL-compliant soccer, sports, and entertainment venue on a 16-acre parcel of land across the street from Citi Field, home of the New York Mets Major League Baseball team.
This stadium will anchor a new mixed-use real estate development project, designed to complement and synergize with both the new soccer venue and Citi Field. The design features a parametric canopy module that encloses the entire bowl of the stadium. It modernizes traditional stadium design elements by incorporating a parametric wood composite side paneling system that responds to various site elements.
The enclosed spectator and VIP seating areas reflect a state-of-the-art facility, with a design layout that corresponds to the curvilinear nature of the bowl and the surrounding elements. This design enhances the viewing angles for spectators, ensuring a superior experience for all attendees.
